Some poison control centers are now reporting a higher rate of adverse reactions with Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine)...compared to other amphetamines for ADHD.

Most of these symptoms occur when starting therapy...and include typical stimulant effects such as agitation, increased heart rate, insomnia, vomiting, and involuntary movements.

The higher rate of side effects with Vyvanse is unexpected because it's just a prodrug for dexamphetamine.
