Duzallo is a New Combo Med for Chronic Gout

Duzallo (doo-ZAL-oh) will be a new chronic gout med that combines lesinurad with allopurinol.

Reps will tout Duzallo as a combo that targets both causes of gout. Allopurinol decreases uric acid production...and lesinurad (Zurampic) increases renal uric acid excretion, similar to probenecid.

Duzallo helps about one more in 4 patients reach uric acid goals...compared to about 300 mg/day of allopurinol alone.
