Lovenox (enoxaparin) is now approved to TREAT blood clots

Lovenox (enoxaparin) is now approved to TREAT blood used to be approved only for PREVENTION.

It's the first low-molecular-weight heparin to be approved to treat acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT) both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Lovenox works as well as IV heparin to treat DVTs...but it's easier to administer and requires less lab monitoring.
