new low-molecular-weight heparin called Innohep
You'll see a new low-molecular-weight heparin called Innohep.
Innohep (tinzaparin) is a portion of the larger heparin molecule. It's for treating deep vein thrombosis (DVT)...as an alternative to unfractionated heparin or Lovenox (enoxaparin).
Innohep is given once a day SQ...Lovenox is usually once or twice daily. Innohep and Lovenox are easier to give than heparin, which requires frequent dosing and closer monitoring.
