We're getting questions about using Pradaxa (dabigatran) for more than atrial fibrillation.
There's some evidence for other indications...but these aren't FDA approved and there are other limitations.
Treating venous thromboembolism. Pradaxa 150 mg BID for 6 months seems to work as well as warfarin to treat acute deep venous thrombosis or pulmonary embolism...and has a similar bleeding risk.
