Watch for Xepi, a New Topical Antibiotic for Impetigo
Xepi (ZEH-pee, ozenoxacin) will be a new Rx quinolone cream for impetigo.
Impetigo is the most common skin infection in kids ages 2 to 5...and Staph aureus or Strep pyogenes are the usual culprits. Most patients get topical antibiotics to heal lesions faster and prevent spread.
But don't expect Xepi to be a fast mover.
