You'll hear debate about whether ADULTS need Gardasil 9 to prevent human papillomavirus (HPV)...due to new CDC guidelines.
Gardasil 9 was FDA-approved last year for adults up to age 45...expanding its use beyond ages 9 to 26.
Now CDC is weighing in...and advises "shared clinical decision-making" for Gardasil 9 in patients ages 27 to 45. Evidence suggests only limited benefit for these patients...but vaccine risks are low.
