Cleviprex (CLEV-a-prex) will be used to control blood pressure in hospitalized patients.

It's a calcium channel blocker for IV infusion. It'll be used as an alternative to IV nicardipine (Cardene), esmolol (Brevibloc), etc.

Cleviprex (clevidipine) is ultra short-acting and will be used when tight BP control and rapid titration are important.
