The FDA is getting more reports of rhabdomyolysis in patients taking both simvastatin and amiodarone (Cordarone, etc).

Package inserts already have a warning about muscle injury with this combo...but it keeps happening.

Amiodarone inhibits CYP3A4, which increases concentrations of simvastatin...lovastatin...and to a lesser extent, atorvastatin.
