Many pharmacists got excited last year when it was announcedMedicare was going to pay for diabetes services starting this July.
Now the gov't says this program probably won't be ready untilNEXT spring.
They're still figuring out which services Medicare will coverand how much they're willing to pay.
They're also trying to decide whether pharmacists or pharmacieswill be able to bill for services...and how they'll qualify.
Pharmacists will probably need at least 16 hrs of approved CE indiabetes education. If you're interested in being paid for diabetes SERVICES, take diabetes courses now. We can give you a list.
